RAT FM Celebrates Ballarat Pride Month with Live Outside Broadcast
June 6th 2026
RAT FM was proud to be part of Ballarat Pride Month on Saturday, 6th June 2026, broadcasting live from one of the region’s most colourful and inclusive community events.
From 10:00am until 3:00pm, the RAT FM team brought listeners live updates, interviews, music, and all the excitement from the heart of the celebrations. The event attracted a fantastic crowd throughout the day, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages and backgrounds.
One of the standout features of the event was the incredible range of market stalls on display. With well over 50 stalls participating, visitors had the opportunity to browse a diverse collection of locally made products, artwork, crafts, jewellery, clothing, gifts, and much more. Talented artists were also on hand offering portrait services, showcasing the creativity and artistic talent that exists throughout the Ballarat community.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for local makers, creators, community organisations, and businesses to connect with the public while celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community spirit. Everywhere you looked there were smiles, conversations, and people coming together to support one another.
Throughout the day, RAT FM spoke with stallholders, visitors, volunteers, and event organisers, highlighting the importance of Pride Month and the positive impact events like these have on the local community. The overwhelming sense of acceptance, respect, and celebration was evident from the moment the event began until the final stall packed away.
As a community broadcaster, RAT FM is committed to supporting events that bring people together and provide opportunities for all voices within our community to be heard. Ballarat Pride Month continues to play an important role in promoting inclusion, understanding, and connection throughout our region.
We would like to thank the event organisers, volunteers, stallholders, performers, and everyone who stopped by the RAT FM outside broadcast site to say hello and share their stories. It was a privilege to be part of such a positive and inspiring community event.
RAT FM looks forward to continuing its support of Ballarat Pride and other community events throughout the year.
